Federal Resource Center of the Moscow State University of Psychology and Education within the national program Priority 2030 realizes strategic project Comprehensive support for children with ASD: differential diagnostic technologies and support programs with proven effectiveness

Aim and scopes of the project

The project is aimed at solving the problem of methodological equipment of the support system to children with ASD in two domains: integration the evidence-based interventions and the professional education for the specialists, involved in the work with ASD.

On the part of escort specialists, the parent community and educational system structures, there is a request for a register of technologies for working with children with ASD with proven effectiveness.

The planned results of the project implementation will contribute to the development of a system of continuous support and education of children with ASD, including the integration of valid methods for the detection and diagnosis of ASD; development, approbation and implementation of methods, models of support and education of children with ASD; a system for training personnel to work with them, taking into account the data of modern interdisciplinary scientific research on autism.

Project is divided into three stages from 2022 to 2030 years.

Stage 1 2022-2024

  1. Conducting an interdisciplinary study of ASD heterogeneity.
  2. Development and approbation of a methodology for organizing and conducting research aimed at an independent assessment of the effectiveness of teaching technologies, psychological and pedagogical support and socialization of children with ASD.
  3. Organization of inter-regional and intra-university infrastructure to support research on the effectiveness of practices in working with ASD.
  4. Development and description of teaching technologies, psychological and pedagogical support and socialization of children with ASD, implemented on the basis of the FRC MSUPE.
  5. Development and implementation of APE programs to improve the efficiency of the work of specialists who provide support for children and adolescents with ASD.

Stage 2 2025-2027 

  1. Development and testing of technologies for differential diagnosis within the spectrum of autistic disorders based on the results of the study of ASD heterogeneity: primary screening technology, differential diagnosis technology for developing an escort route.
  2. Development and description of teaching technologies, psychological and pedagogical support and socialization of children with ASD on the basis of the FRC MSUPE and regional resource centers.
  3. Conducting research on the effectiveness of practices for working with ASD, developed and applied on the basis of the FRC MSUPU and regional resource centers.
  4. Implementation of APE programs to improve the efficiency of the work of specialists who accompany children and adolescents with ASD.
  5. Development of an interdepartmental model of education and support for children with ASD on the basis of the FRC MSUPE and the system of regional centers in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

Stage 3 2028-2030 

  1. Creation and filling of the registry of diagnostic methods for organizing support for children with ASD.
  2. Creation and filling of the register of teaching technologies, psychological and pedagogical support and socialization of children with ASD with proven effectiveness.
  3. Creation of a permanent expert group on the basis of the FRC MSUPE to supervise research aimed at an independent assessment of the effectiveness of teaching technologies, psychological and pedagogical support and socialization of children with ASD.
  4. Approbation of an interdepartmental model of education and support for children with ASD on the basis of the FRC MSUPE and the system of regional centers in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
  5. Implementation of APE programs to improve the efficiency of the work of specialists providing support for children and adolescents with ASD.

Proposed results of the project will be implemented in the following methodological products

  1. Technologies of differential diagnostics within the framework of the concept of multiparametric typology of ASD in the form of packages of specialized diagnostic tools and teaching materials.
  2. Register of practices and technologies for teaching, psychological and pedagogical support and socialization of children with ASD with proven effectiveness.
  3. An interdepartmental model of education and support for children with ASD has been developed on the basis of the FRC MSUPE and the system of regional centers in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
