History of the center

1994 - Opening of Complex of Social Care to Children and Adolescents of the Department of Education of Moscow in accordance with the decision of Moscow Government. The Center was one of the first established in Moscow and Russia centers which provided psycho-educational, medical and social assistance to children and adolescents.

A large contribution to the creation and formation of the Center as well as in strategy determination of its development was made by outstanding figures of science and education A.G. Rumyantsev, E.A. Iamburg, V.V. Rubtsov, T.V. Akhutina, V.N. Kasatkin.

1994 - 2008 – Under the leadership of V.N. Kasatkin a system of comprehensive care for children with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities is formed.

2001 – Amalgamation of Complex of Social Assistance to Children and Adolescents of the Department of Education of Moscow with Educational Complex N 1831 (for autistic children) and creation on their basis of SEI Center for Psychological, Medical and Social Support for Children and Adolescents. Since 2001 the Center has been specializing  in providing comprehensive care for children with autism spectrum disorders.

2012 - Center for Psychological, Medical and Social Support for Children and Adolescents becomes a structural subdivision of Moscow State University of Psychology and Education.

April 15, 2016, within the framework of the Moscow International Salon of Education, the opening ceremony of the Federal Resource Center for the organization of comprehensive support of children with autism spectrum disorders was held.
